alternative proposal to daylight savings time
May 21st, 2003In the summertime, people should work from 9pm to 5am, eat “dinner”, socialize until 11am and then sleep from 11am to 7pm.
Benefits of this behavior is that during the hours of the highest energy use (noon-6) because of air conditioning, computing, lighting, etc. we reduce consumption because all we are doing is sleeping.
Today I fell asleep at 7pm instead of 11pm. I’m sure it was because it was a sunny 90 degree day. The sun sapped me of a few hours of energy.
