San Francisco South Park Lunch time survival guide
Mehfil Indian Cusine
at Folsom & 2nd. This is edible, sometimes good. I know four people who have been eating lunch there every day for 4 months and aren’t ill.
Mexico Au Parc
- Pork Al Pastor Taco. Good deal for about $2. It fills you up. It’s crowded until about 1:30.
Henessey’s Liquor shop and delicatessan
They have fresh baked bread. A little more expensive, but well made sandwich.
Lee’s Deli
at 2nd between folsom & harrison. They have cheap sandwiches. $3.50 for a turkey on sourdough roll. I’m not into salad or chinese food.
Maya
at 2nd & harrison. Their Pork al Pastor tacos are good and filling, but expensive at $5.50, $6.25 with handmade tortilla.
Caffe Centro
- Good chai, ok mocha.
Butler and the Chef
- better mocha (they use ghiradelli chocolate powder)
- ok lunch fare, if just a little more expensive than average because of the frenchness.
Tully’s Coffee
at 2nd between folsom & harrison. They have mocha. It’s fine. They may go down after starbucks at folsom and 2nd street opens up.
