Where to Vertu?
I have a Nokia 8260 and I don’t think I’ll be getting another phone for a while. Possibly the motorola v60 thin clamshell with voice activated dialing, but only if it works on my current cellular plan. When number portability becomes a possibility rather than a legislative castle in the sky, I may switch. However, I’m never going to buy a Vertu.
A big selling-point is a special button that connects the user to Vertu’s dedicated concierge service, which can organise travel, restaurant and hotel bookings, or find a good doctor or florist in a foreign city.
